David Palterer, architect and designer, born in Israel, lives and works in Florence. Graduated at the Faculty of Architecture of Florence’s University, where he remains teaching until 1989. From 1997 to 2016, he’s Professor of Architectural and Urban Composition at the School of Architecture of the Politecnico of Milan in Mantua. At present Professor of “Composition”, Academic Diploma in Industrial Design at ISIA Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche of Florence. Ordinary member and Vice President of the Class of Architecture at the Accademia delle Arti del Disegno in Florence, is involved as member of board or curator in other institutions as UNESCO Chair in Mantua, IIFCA (the Italian Israel Foundation for Arts and Culture), MEB (Fondazione Museo Ebraico Bologna), La Magia (Museum of Contemporary Art in Tuscany). At the same time he carries on his architectural eclectic activity as co-founder of P&M architecture, an architectural design company with an international reputation and highly qualified records in public and private experiences in the field of restoration of prestigious historical buildings and in the exploitation of historical-archaeological and museum heritage. The professional activity is closely related to the research, carried out not only in universities but also through participation in design competitions and national and international conferences.
